Bacterial contaminations on the surface of some water taps and some door knobs equipped in lavatories were examined. Standard Method Agar "Nissui" was used to count Standard plate count(SPC)and X-GAL Agar"Nissui" was used to count coliform bacteria. SPC on a water tap was in the range of 5.1×104 〜4.2 ×105 and coliform bacteria was slightly detected. Similarly, SPC on a door-knob was in the range of 3.0×101 〜4.1 ×103 and coliform bacteria was not detected. |
