| 内容記述 | Based on a survey of literature and data, this paper discusses the historical development of ‘red tourism’ to illustrate its driving forces. ‘Red tourism’ refers to tourism relating to the historical heritage of the Chinese Communist Party, which as a form of patriotic education has been implemented as a national policy from 2005 for improving economic growth and strengthening communist ideology. This paper shows how the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China has accelerated the development of red tourism in China. This paper also argues how young people have become a new force in ‘red tourism’ by interacting with ‘guochao (national wave)’, a nationalism-driven consumption trends of generation Z. | |||||||||||
