| 内容記述 | Religious practitioners in Okinawa are divided into two types, priest and shaman. Noro (or Tukasa) who perform rituals for community is regarded as a priest, Yuta (or Kankakarya) who meet personal demands is regarded as a shaman. Some scholars consider that Noro and Yuta didn’t separate into priest and shaman in early days, and they played a role as priest as well as shaman. This article will attempt to study the relation between priest and shaman through some research on religious practitioners in Sarahama, Okinawa. | |||||||||||
