The program "College Education Interacted with Regional Community by Means of Design "operated by the Department of Apparel and Interior Designs, Gifu City Women's College, was adopted as one of the GP programs presented by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) in 2004. We visited and investigated the Fashion Institute Vienna to study the public higher education organization that acts in the community, as one of the above projects. Our program is applied under the theme of " Double Education" for both students and regional community. This stance is based on the concept that our college is located in Gifu area and is established not only for educational place for students but also the place to boost the development of Gifu area by meaning of interchanging each other. This paper aims to study the educational and social circumstances of Vienna and Austria, and to study the possibility of interchange between two colleges through the investigation of Fashion Institute Vienna. |
