On 11th, March, 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred. Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant Accident by the disaster caused extensive issues. Nuclear accident may pose health damage to us. Risk communication has been conducted for the real-time exchange of information, advice and opinions between experts or officials and people who face a radiation hazard to their survival, health or economic or social well-being. To evaluate this risk communication, we performed focus group discussion (FGD) by victims in Fukushima. In the FGD, participants commented that scientific knowledge on radiation effect and food safety is needed for all people with different opinions. |
