| 内容記述 | This paper describes the details of the early major Hindu caves of Pallavas such as at Mandagapattu, Mamandur, Daravanur and so on, and also studies the spatial composition of the caves. Pallavas, one of the major dynasty in north Tamil region, seems to have strong effect ion to the later south Indian architecture not only design but the arrangement of the space. To take account of the number and the deity of the shrine, the concept of the planning is to be clear; namely Siva is to be enshrined in the single and quintuple sanctum, though the Trimurty in the triple sanctums . | |||||||||||
