This report intends to describe order of events of the relocation in the newspaper. According to records, the trigger of the relocation was due to the deterioration and narrowness of the old campus buildings, and the change of the environment around the site. In addition, requests from the community for the higher education facilities forced the campus transfer. It was in 1989 that the mayor of Gifu City expressed his desire for the relocation to the city council and from that time, it took 11 years to complete.
